Five Reasons we love ATF this year!
Starting Monday, June 1, Adirondack Theatre Festival “moves in” to the Wood Theater for their summer season!
Lots of new and big things are coming from ATF this summer. Here are our top five!
ONE – this is the first season with their new staff – Chad Rabinovitz as Artistic Director and Heather Carroll as General Manager. So far Chad and Heather have proven to be a great team!
TWO – FLEX PASSES – we cannot say enough about how nice the flex pass subscriptions are for patrons this year. Buy a set number of tickets and use them for whatever shows you like! Gone are the days when you were locked into specific days or times.
THREE – SUBSCRIBE IT FORWARD – Wowweee! Were you an ATF subscriber last year? You were! Well this year, when you renew, you get a second subscription to give away to a friend who was not a subscriber last year. Free! So cool!
FOUR – Shows! Shows! Shows! ATF always delivers a stellar season but this year seems just a little more exciting to us for some reason. Kalamazoo starts the season with a hilarious look at online dating for seniors. The UnCivil War is a musical parody starring Tony nominee J. Robert Spencer. SPUN is an exciting fast-paced original rock-n-roll musical about a brother and sister. Plus there are two cabarets (one is already sold out!) and a reading of The Banana Tree, written by Dan Castellaneta (the voice of Homer Simpson) and Deb Lacusta!
FIVE – PB&J Cafe – a dinner theatre for kids! ATF has partnered with Skidmore College for this one. Kids will be served lunch by the characters from the show, create an art project and see an hour long interactive performance. All for $15.00 per person.
SO…. What are you doing this summer?
