Ed Moore is Great!
Ed is amazing. He has served on our board for 11 years (that’s since before we even opened!). Plus he has been on the board of another great arts organization, the Seagle Music Colony, for 10 years.
Ed is also super involved with the Crandall Public Library, The Hyde Collection, Glens Falls Hospital, Glens Falls Family YMCA, the WAIT House and the HEAR Foundation which supports a Guatemala orphanage. Ed is actually going to Guatemala this Spring to help out at the orphanage. WHAT A GUY!
You know that whole Civic Center project – that was Ed too. He spearheaded the Coalition to Save the Civic Center and now he’s the Secretary of the board!
Last year, Crandall Public Library honored Ed with the Henry Crandall Award because he is so awesome!
How does he do all of this while being a newlywed, fantastic family man and running the French Mountain Commons and the Log Jam Outlet Center? We cannot figure it out. WE’RE TELLING YOU – HE’S SUPERHUMAN!
Anyway, because of all this…
The Charles R. Wood Theater Board of Directors has decided that Edward “Ed” Moore will receive the 2015 Charles R. Wood Award.
The annual award is now in its fifth year and every year is presented to an individual from the greater Glens Falls area that embodies qualities that Charles R. Wood himself possessed including a philanthropic spirit, vision, intelligence, solid business sense, community-mindedness, generosity and gratitude.
OF COURSE THIS CALLS FOR A PARTY AND WE’VE GOT ONE PLANNED – DON’T YOU WORRY
Join us Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 6:00 pm at the Hiland Park Country Club for an award ceremony and gala honoring (WHO ELSE?) Ed Moore! Proceeds will benefit the Charles R. Wood Theater.
