Congratulations to GFCT!
Last weekend Glens Falls Community Theatre presented what local reporter for The Chronicle, Cathy Dede, said “might be the best thing the Glens Falls Community Theatre has ever done.” We agree. The show was outstanding, powerful, beautiful and superbly directed by Rene Roberge.
An amazing cast made A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE by Arthur Miller come alive and stellar performances were put forward by the entire cast, particularly Nate St. John as Eddie, Barbara Miner as Beatrice, Alyssa Jones as Catherine, Matthew Reddick as Rodolfo and Dan Slavin as Marco.
We’ve seen a lot of audiences in the Wood but it’s rare to see them so engaged with a performance. Audible gasps, cries and laughter reminded us why we do what we do and why GFCT is entering its 80th year!
If you missed A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE last weekend, shame on you. Luckily, GFCT has another show on the horizon. Stephen Sondheim’s musical SWEENEY TODD opens the first weekend of November. Be there! Or, better yet, be in it. Stay tuned for an announcement about auditions.
