Brighton Beach MemoirsFriday, May 6th -Sunday, May 8th
Set in 1937, Eugene Morris Jerome, is a 15-year-old who dreams of baseball and girls, but has aspirations of becoming a writer. He must cope with the seemingly mundane existence of his family life, plus deal with the personalities and problems of his older brother; his struggling parents, a widowed Aunt, and her two teenage daughters, all of whom now live under the same roof. This nostalgic, yet comic, coming-of-age drama depicts a time when money was a daily issue and war was just over the horizon, but youthful dreams, hopes, desires, & plans forged the family's future.
